Default How far is your main grocery store?

How far is the grocery store where you buy the bulk of your household needs?

Do you use more than one grocery store in order to pick up weekly sales?

the main one is 25 miles. Sometimes will go to another for specials but mostly try NOT to shop at the one in the small town where I live. Pricing is the main reason. I can save more than what it cost to drive to the store.

Red face Closest grocery store..hmmm. about

65 miles +-. We go to Gallup which is north about 1hr and 10 min. Safeway is the place. There is a Wallymart, but, I do NOT buy produce or meat there. sometimes some staples.
Safeway has the freshest produce and of course their meats are very good.
They also get in some pretty fresh seafood at times, and I can request things and get them.
They also have a good bakery and I can get fresh french bread.

We HAVE TO ALWAYS remember to take the ice chests to keep cold things in.

We have a chest type freezer at home and it helps a lot.

The Albertson's is ok, buy Safeway is much better.
oh, and Schwann's visit's the village every 2 weeks, but, I only get ice cream or a couple other items. too expensive.

Happy trails,

HW

14 miles to the main one, though there's a small one 3 miles away that I'll get some emergency needs from (if they have it).

I do shop at several, and stock up, obviously.

our local safeway is 10 blocks away so it's a nice walk or a quick drive all depends on how much shopping I have to do

I miss krogers and meijers because we have moved back to florida because of a job but in a yr I will be transfering and then again in another year so I will make sure they will all be in the north so I can get my krogers and meijers back . But the publix here is around seven to ten miles from my house .

Our's is 2 miles and they have the very best meats and prices and the wmployees are wonderful. There is another in town (4 mi) but too big and the set up is confusing.

We do have a Super Wally World but I hate it.
