Default Chicken!

I bought a bag of frozen chicken breasts about 2-3 weeks ago. I used one of them, but apparently forgot to seal the bag afterwards. They've been in the freezer the whole time, but not sealed. Still okay to cook and eat? (Sorry if this sounds like a silly question...I'm really not so much of a cook!)

Don't toss them! They should be safe if they were never unfrozen, but like the poster said, they may have picked up oders. If so, rinse well after thawing, soak in milk in the fridge for a while, and rinse again. If they have some freezer burn, you may want to cut them in pieces insead of using whole.

Sure, just look and see if they look freezer-burned. They will certainly be safe to eat. Instead of serving them whole, fried or broiled, put them into a sauce or stew that requires meat, and simmer them a long time in the sauce, then pop the meat off and discard the bones. If you bury them in a sauce, it won't matter if there's a bit of freezer burn. Nobody will notice.

If they stayed frozen, they're safe.
