Sometimes I get strong cravings for a snack mix that they don't sell anymore, at least not where I live.

It was sort of like Chex Mix. But it had these ingredients: Pretzel, peanuts, cheese cracker sticks, wheat chex, rice chex, melba toast. The name was like "doo dads" or something along that line.

I really miss it. Does anyone know of a similar snack mix?

Since you know what is in it, why not make it yourself? You can use the standard Chex mix recipe but substitute the components to your liking.

I don't know if that would work. They had a special flavor/spice that made them unique.

However, I did buy the Chex "Cheddar" and Chex "Peanuts" mixes. I will mix the 2 together and see how it turns out.

Thanks. I read that. He said Nabisco re-released the basic mix (plus Ritz crackers) in a new product. I couldn't find it at the store today though.

My mom makes a mix like this by brushing beef flavored bullion (mixed with water) over her choice of items and bakes them just a few minutes. They taste wonderful.

Well, the Chex with Peanuts is actually not bad. They removed the little rye crackers (which there was too much of in Doo Dads). I don't like the Cheddar version. It's nothing like the cheese stix that were in Doo Dads, which were more like Cheese Nips or Goldfish probably.
