Recipezaar has become very pedestrian; I find their ratings to be a bad joke; it's nothing but virtual friends stroking each others' egos. When I first joined there I diligently checked for duplicates, typed up and submitted my recipes because I thought there was some kind of screening/checking process....yeah, right!

I was very disappointed to see a recipezaar "approved" recipe which listed some ingredients and then said "mix and bake until done"!
Then I started to see recipes for jelly on toast and such like...what a let down. There is no way I'm posting any more of my recipes to a site which lacks any kind of standards.

Again, thank you; I signed up for Kittencal's today.

I also like Epicurious.

I adore Gourmet's website but it will soon be dead! Chowhound is awesome and I'm a fan of Eric Rippert from Le Bernardin so I check out his site Avec Eric from time to time. Moderator cut: deleted

Friendly reminder: please link only to websites, no blogs of any kind. Linking to own blogs is prohibited; there are places in your profile where such can be listed.

Thanks.

From what I read, they're incorporating some of their website content into Epicurious.com but otherwise only focusing on cookbooks on programs. Very unfortunate since their site is not only great for food/recipe info but has amazing travel content as well.

I love looking through allrecipes but find it hit or miss.

The blogs I love (but cannot link to!) are:

Bakerella
Bake at 350 (she does mostly cookies)
Cookies and Cups (really cute stuff!)
Sweetest Kitchen
Picky Palate
52 cupcakes (she is making all of Martha's cupcakes from her new book so you can get those recipes there!)

And of course Martha's site!

I also like allrecipes.com, especially the reviews. It's so helpful to read what works and what doesn't before trying a recipe.
After allrecipes, I use this site the most: A Year of Slow Cooking
And others I like are...
www.hillbillyhousewife.com/
joyofbaking.com/
www.recipegirl.com/
www.cookingformonkeys.com/
www.bakerella.com

I like Simply Recipes, but I've gotten into major disagreements with that "professional" dietitian that posts recipes occasionally.

I also use CDKitchen and Southern Food, mostly for low carb and crock pot recipes.
