I have never done them this way..they are best on the grill. I guess you can broil them in the house but will probably lose a little flavor.
I like making them especially when we have company because they are so easy and good and you have time for your guests. Everything is ready ahead of time.
Change in plans here........we got tickets to the suite at the ballpark tonight through my fiance's work -- free food and booze -- woo hoo!! Happy hour can wait, I am too cheap to pass up a freebie and the Rockies are playing the Cubbies. Go Rockies!
Glass trifle bowl (I use an old glass punch bowl).
Package of chocolate cake mix-made in a 9x13 pan, cooled, cut in squares.
Take the pieces of cake, cut cross-ways and put a layer in bottom of bowl.
Top with a layer of chocolate pudding.
Layer of Cool Whip
Layer of crushed Kit Kats.
Repeat layering cake, pudding,Cool Whip,KitKats and top with Cool Whip and more crushed KitKats.
Cover, refrigerate-best if made early in the day.
Serve with a BIG spoon to dig in.

Kat to me stew beef is really tough I don't even use it in soup. I buy sirloin strip steak and cut it into cubes.....Costs a little more but worth it as they melt in your mouth.
