I bought a 1915 cookbook called "The Story of Crisco". OMG - it is hilarious to read how healthy Crisco is, and that it is wonderful for children. Also gives you the rundown on "healthy" eating - gems like "we are now in the fish section of this book. Fish, of course, is not as healthy as beef from your butcher, but........... It is like a little time capsule! Also says that is is Kosher, and they do have some containers that are "blessed" (I am not sure that is what you call it, so forgive me if I am wrong) by two different Rabiis.

I made a huge wok of "leftover" fried rice. I had a little leftover of this and a little leftover of that

The health benefits of Crisco - you gotta love it

Kats-yep 2 Rabbis Kosher food. Kosher chickens if you can get them are very good. There are beautiful traditions in the Kosher world.

I remember as a kid-fish was so cheap and people hardly ever ate seafood.

Times they be changing----Thank the Lawd (per George).

Noma enjoy-sausages (Italian sweet) are smelling like the NJ boardwalk here.

Yes - Thank the Lawd

I laugh every time I go to a fancy smancy restaurant and they serve pork belly or ox tails. They were all cuts of meat that butchers were practically giving away. Now it's the en vogue ingredient

Well this is rather awkward - I'm dying to make more testicle festival comments but instead....

I just got back from dinner with my girlfriends. We had cheeseburgers at this place that makes the best burgers in the city. Man were they good - cooked perfectly and oh so flavorful. Now I'm full and sleepy but I want some dessert!
