It was going to be kohlrabi schnitzel but I got a hankering for Indian.

A nice green salad with avocado and tomatoes
Curried Chickpeas
Coriander Chutney

My mouth is watering now.

Very well, freeze it in serving size containers, when needed sprinkle with a little water, cover, and nuke it.

Yeah, wow, you learn something new every day eh? I had no idea either. So many times that would have come in handy to know. Except Rocky Dog wouldn't be too happy since he's always got the leftover rice. So, never mind, I'll pretend I didn't read about freezing rice. Gotta keep my doggie happy since he's such a great dog and he loves rice.

Tonight we had Beef Stew with freshly made bread. I did the dough in the bread machine but baked it on a baking stone in the oven for that nice crust.

Good morning all. Hubby just told me he wants us to get in our ditch which is 350 feet long and start lining it with rock. Oh it sounds like such a fun day. Yuk!! But at least we will be working together.

I will be making pasta and meat sauce for my hubby tonight while I have leftover seasoned chicken breast with fresh garden garlic green beans.

Oh boy Lisa... better you than me... I give you so much credit for all the work you do. You are amazing! Agree with Cyn... drink up and take care.....

Vichel I have been hearing about your stews lately and it makes me think I should do one soon myself....

Cyn I had no clue you could freeze rice either.... but I guess if you think about all the frozen meals that have rice in them it kind of makes sense huh? lol.... I just never would have thought about doing it seperately.... how funny is that?

Chielgirl I have never even heard of the kohlrabi schnitzel but my parents have it growing in thier garden.... would you mind posting a recipe? sounds interesting!

Well, we woke to a lazy morning.... or so we thought... My dad is an early riser but told us he'd be back in town with the kids about Noon.... WELL.... LOL.... he called to tell me he was already on the road from Niagra Falls and would be back in town by 9:30am!!!! GOOD MORNING MOMMY!!!! hahaha But they are meeting us at church with kids for 10:30 mass and we will take them home from there. So I still have a bit of time..... I think he is exhausted and I don't blame him based on all the cool things they did up at the falls. I can't wait to hear all about it....

The girls are invited to a birthday party today and will most likely eat there. I don't know what I will be cooking for Hubby... we have been so spoiled with food this weekend it will be drab in comparison. Oh well.... I will have to think about it. Enjoy your Sunday and I hope it is SUNNIER than mine (looks like we are gonna get some serious rain today)......
