How can we not want another hot sauce thread. I love hot sauce and my taste evolves. So there are probably some things I am enjoying today that I hadn't even heard of last time this came up.

Really liking the Asian hot chili pastes in oil. I'll post some if the thread is continued.

I know this is about hot sauce, but I haven't found a hot sauce where I've really liked the flavor. So I just use a lot of Cayenne pepper :P

But if you search and revive an old thread sometimes they yell at you for doing that, instead opening a new one. You can't win.

I buy Valentina Extra Hot (Black label), at about 1.29 a liter. Lasts 3 months or so.

Frank's Red Hot

Then there's the specialty sauces, Walkerswood Jamaican Scotch Bonnet, Huy Fong Sriracha sauce, and some other kinda Mexican sauce I like - can't think of the name, it's brown and kinda oregano-ish.

Yeah, Vietnamese chili garlic sauce. The one with the rooster on it. My other choice is done to death, but nothing beats chipotle adobo sauce for packing in flavor with a dollop.

Rest of them go: 2. Cholula original 3. Melinda's jalapeno sauce 4. Sriracha Rooster Sauce 5. Ortega Salsa Verde.

Also I am looking for new ideas for hot sauces, so by answering this question maybe it'll get me to try out new brands.

Fire away !
I have to say, my favorite is the one I make. We can several jars every summer and it lasts until the next canning season.

You know, I've tried some fancy, expensive hot sauces over the past several months, but I always go back to Tapatio. The taste and consistency is just right, and it is not too hot or too mild.

A 10 oz bottle costs around a buck at the discount supermarkets.
