Took my lady out for dinner, she had chicken & ham au gratin, salad, & soup, plus cherry Pepsi... me, all can eat fish, baked potato, & carrots, plus water [I had to replenish food after going on ~63 mile bicycle ride earlier in the day ].
Marinated steak tips with a tarragon flavored dipping sauce, potatoes O'Brien, green beans almondine, salad with ranch, and wicked good red wine to wash it all down with.. and a yummy break stick...
We had super nachos. Dh fried up some tortillas for chips and I cooked up some hamburger meat and seasoned with taco seasoning. I chopped up some lettuce, cilantro, tomato, onion, jalapeno and avacado to put on top and threw some cheese in a bowl for sprinkling. It was good! It's a good way to make a pound of hamburger stretch for our family.
Ay caramba, es muy bueno!! I gained a pound in California. I'm not allowed to eat this with you, unfortunately. Only have like 20 more to lose.

I only got to have tacos 3 times in 5 days! It just ain't right! LOL. I always put family first, before my tummy even, so there just wasn't time to have all the tacos I wanted. DH, a former surfer, compared my taco hunt to the search for the perfect wave.. it doesn't exist but you never stop trying.
I didn't even make it to Olvera Street, Cyn.

I'm thinking there were probably canned or fresh peeled mild or hot green chiles in the one you had in the States...
I just picked up a big container of roasted peeled hatch green chiles at the market. It's that time of year. Going to make taco or enchilada sauce I think.
Tonight's dinner is pork chops sprinkled with soy and worcestershire and either grilled or pan-fried. Some leftover shells and peppers salad on the side.
I'll post the recipe for the shells pasta in the recipe forum under Favorite Pasta Salad recipe, as several people asked me for it.
For some reason it's a rule around here that you can only use the oven in the early morning or after the sun goes down. Something about electricity, air conditioning, heat, whatever. So it's too late for me to bake my chicken breast in the oven. So that will be tomorrow. I might make up that gnocchi to go with it, and some Ragu sauce.
