The quail was good. My son really liked it, but there wasn`t much meat, for the mess.
After I get home from work today, I will try yet another new recipe.
Its meatballs with a spaghetti sauce, served over fettuccine.

lol! Yes, they sure are itty-bitty things, aren't they? So tiny, it makes me think I'm eating a pigeon. Never eaten pigeon, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was more meat on them. I've made quail a few times but not for years. They're not all that available here for a good price so I won't bother.

Same here - leftover meatballs over spaghetti, from the other night. They were really good. And leftovers is even better as I don't have to cook. Too tired. Hard day at the office

Never tried to do shishkabob before but looks like what the sell in the store~ for a lot more than I got in it!

Not sure what to have with it~ does baked potato and green beans work?

or maybe just a side salad~with my usual overdoing it!
Baked potato and gr. beans work well, as would rice or salad or just about anything else you might want to throw in there. We usually skewer a whole bunch of veggies on there - zucchini, summer squash, mushrooms, even par-cooked potatoes, and that pretty well takes care of the veggies. Of course, you have a lot more skewers, but it's worth it! You probably had better meat than the store puts on theirs, too.

Remind me not to cook shredded wheat chicken and boiled new potatoes etc. again while it's still 90+ degrees out! Boy was it good.. but boy did I heat up my kitchen. Have the leftovers for lunch, on the bright side.

This carboholic was somehow convinced by her husband last night that there should be new potatoes in with the green beans, mushrooms, almonds, and garlic. He is not a stupid man.

Tonight's dinner... something that does NOT heat up the house. I think I'll slice up the last piece of chicken and put it on top of a vinaigrette-dressed romaine salad. Perhaps a slice of toast with brie on it would be a welcome neighbor. Musn't be TOO healthy...

Yummm, Nomad, my second favorite food - ribs.

Let's see: I have 3 in-a-row evenings of restaurants. Tonight meeting with some women friends at the Outback Steakhouse. The flowered shape onion rings fill me up so don't know what I'll order.
