It's not easy to order a poached egg in many places unless you're having Eggs Benedict. But what about the other soft-cooked eggs. They never appear on menus.
So how many people eat them at home?
I tried to set up a poll. But it wouldn't go through. I am curious as to how many folks prepare soft-boiled eggs, poached eggs, shirred eggs, and coddled eggs at home. If you do, do you consider them all breakfast items or do you have them at lunch or tea, even dinner.

I have a soft boiled egg on rye toast or an English muffin several days a week. I made some shirred eggs once and they were yummy, but the soft boiled are easier for me.
My egg has to cook for 7 minutes. I don't like it too runny.
The worlds most perfect food. I love eggs anyway I can get them. Fried egg and fried bologna sandwich on toasted soudough will melting Extra Sharp cheedar cheese, a little deli mustard and hot sauce. Oh and a cold beer.
My husband taught me to like soft eggs through the years of cooking them for him. Sunny-side up, over easy, or poached...as long as the white is well cooked. i have to have my boiled ones hard boiled, though. Getting farm fresh eggs makes all the difference in the world for texture and flavor. I have at least one egg every day and my cholesterol is fine, thank you.

I must now google all of these but poached.... Ive had poached eggs and they were delish....but the others, never heard of?! I usually eat my eggs hard boiled, scrambled, or fried.

Hard boiled eggs fan here.
I never have them for breakfast, but they are a very satisfying snack and go well in rice salad or potato salad!
I don't eat eggs every day, though - not healthy.
