Anyone here from NYC? So everytime I'm in the supermarket looking for large sized hamburger buns, I have had to settle for Kaiser Rolls instead. Do we not get large sized hamburger buns in NYC? Dumb question....I know...... but I've looked in a couple of places and all I can find are the small hamburger buns and then Kaiser Rolls.

I know every company makes them. What's the deal?

I always found them in NJ. I so miss Kaiser rolls-but we have used the sandwich size english muffins for burgers and they are great.

I'll send you all the Kaiser Rolls you want and you can send me the burger buns. Not a big Kaiser Roll fan here. Don't get me wrong.....its great bread for sandwiches but for hamburgers.........you need hamburger buns. Hamburgers are sacred. You can't mess with them like that.

Foes your store carry Arnold's or pepperidge Farm hamburg rolls?

They haven't a clue here about Kaiser/hard rolls and I cannot get the large eng muffins.

Hey if I could I would.

Same here-the last time I was able to get a good Kaiser roll was in LI/NY.

VA now IL -it's not happening. Kaiser rolls in both places are some thick rolls in a plastic bag. Not the airy, crispy rolls sold separately or by the 1/2 dozen/dozen. Not getting challah rolls either.

I've given up!

Same here-what's so hard about a good roll? We're heading to NJ tomorrow and my first thing's a decent roll - nice crust, soft inside.

The last time I had a decent Kaiser roll was when I was in Pittsburgh. Hamburger buns are plentiful here in the south. Not so much kaiser rolls or specialty breads.

I've always wondered why they make those hamburger buns so small.

Thank you MoNative34.........My sentiments exactly. Honestly if you travel out of NY you'll find the bigger Hamburger Buns in any supermarket. The burger buns here are smaller than the burgers!
