I've had many different sandwiches in my time. My favorite is the Cuban sandwich followed by the Muffuletta sandwich (a favorite in New Orleans). The sandwich consists of the round loaf of crusty Italian bread, split and filled with layers of sliced Provolone cheese, Genoa salami and Cappicola ham, topped with Olive Salad: a chopped mixture of green, unstuffed olives, pimientos, celery, garlic, cocktail onions, capers, oregano, parsley, olive oil, red-wine vinegar, salt and pepper, don't even think of eating one of these if you have any problem with blood pressure. There is enough salt in this sandwich to last you a year, but it's great. Another great one is the New Orleans Po-Boy, there are many variations but are all so good. Enjoy.

The old Dagwood sandwich. Whatever happened to that?

I like some of the old standards.

1. Toasted bread - tunafish - lettuce and a glass of coke
2. Bread (any type) layer mayo, mustard, fresh tomatoe, bologna (thin to medium slices), lettuce. Ymmmm.
3. French bread, brie, red jelly, prosciutto
4. French bread, mustard, hard salami.

Default My Two Faves

#1: GOOD tomatoes, Vidalia onions, american & cheddar cheese on bread of your choice, grilled. What a gooey, yummy mess!

#2: REAL sliced turkey breast, cooked & sliced mushrooms, swiss cheese.
Nuke until everything's hot then put on pumpernickle slathered with tarragon mayo!

I wanted a panini maker, but I didn't want teflon so I use a cast iron grill pan with presses.
Good quality bread: Ciabatta, Sicilian, French Batard. Saute mixture of green, red, yellow peppers with onion, sliced black olives. Brush each outer side of bread with olive oil. Layer mozzarella cheese on each inner side, then veggie mixture and top with bruschetta. It's a pizza sandwich.

Toasted whole wheat bread with a bit of cream cheese spread on it. Then add a tuna salad mix (tuna with mayonnaise with tomatoes mixed in and onions and Tabasco sauce are optional). On top of the tuna add sliced dill pickles.
