I am pretty sure that McDonalds rules the fast food world when it comes to popularity.

Have you seen the obesity rate in America?

Which one is the most popular?

Probably McDonald's. Some have more regional popularity. The only thing I like from McDonald's is their breakfast. I don't like most of the fast food places, their burgers are disgusting. Jack in the Box has a few side items I like and a decent breakfast sandwich. Of all the fast food joints In-and-Out Burger in California is my favorite.

Looks like they're not in North or South America.

The fast food industry is popular because it's quick and easy.
McDonald's is probably the most popular.

And contrary to popular belief, they don't cause obesity......people using fast food as a replacement of balanced meals on a REGULAR basis is what causes obesity.
Can't blame an inanimate object. Got to take responsibility for one's own actions.

How to fight the obesity notably in the poor neighborhood ?

Does a healthy cheap restaurant have success in the ghetto ?

Well I don't think that the fast food chains are holding a gun to anyone's head to eat there, but the availability of it along with the portion sizes, calories, and slick marketing/advertising doesn't help. I wouldn't blame the tobacco companies for people who are addicted to nicotine, but they thrive on the public's weakness much like the fast food chains. Look at the size of the average portions in today's value meal as opposed to 40 years ago. Heroin is bad for you, people who use it need to take responsibility, however, the drug dealers shouldn't get a pass regardless of whether it's legal or not.

It's not just the ghetto. Well to do suburbanites are busting at the seams as well. Fast food chains thrive amongst teenagers regardless of demographics.
