Here's a picture of one I took at the South Carolina State Fair this afternoon.

If you have ever watched any of the cake baking shows on TV, you are aware of how much work goes into creating the small details that add up to a masterpiece, and even though the pros make it look easy, there is a huge amount of knowledge and practice necessary to create truly unusual cakes.
Many are simply too artistic when finished to go under the knife to create treats for mere mortals.

This one fits the bill.

The question is, is it food, or is it art?

That one looks like a piece of clay dough. It looks fake.
