Default Anyone else have a Cookbook obsession?

Idk exactly how many cookbooks I have, never counted them, but it's a lot. I haven't bought one in a few weeks and I'm starting to get the itch .

I took a couple pictures. At our last house we had bookshelves built in at the back of the breakfast nook that matched the cabinets. We just moved into this house so these shelves are going to have to suffice for now...I'm gonna ditch that fake plant at the top tho and put a big Yellowware bowl up there as soon as I can find it in the boxes.

Anyone else share my obsession?

I have others too, like cookware and vintage bowls

I don't call it an obsession, I call it a sickness. I cannot stop buying them, even if I don't use the recipes, I like to read them, to look at the pictures, to caress them, lol.
So I'll take your 200 and raise you another 100.

Haha! Yeah sometime I can sit in the kitchen and just leaf thru them for hours looking at the pictures . A Day at El Bulli in particular is a gorgeous book w/ recipes way too crazy for me to ever even try(most of them anyways), but I love looking at it

Oh, yeah. I stopped counting at 200 a long time ago.

Sometimes I do automatically go to the cookbook section of a bookstore and find myself getting a wee bit nauseated, though, just like overdoing on chocolate.

Then there's the internet and its recipes . . .

Yeah if it weren't for the internet I'd probably have lots more. I don't have that many cookbooks for desserts tho, so I will build up that section next.

And don't even get me started on all the friggin cooking magazines I have, I need to weed thru those

And I was just feeling bad today about getting a new bookshelf and filling it up already with cookbooks!

Glad I'm not the only one
