Thanks Lacey! I got taken out (a day early) to a local non-profit place that takes on young people from difficult backgrounds; offers apprenticeships, housing and support... amazing.
They have a garden centre, a furniture shop, ceramic and ironworks and a bistro with lovely food!
What a great day! None of our kids live near, but my DH went out and bought king crab legs, lobster tails and cheesecake. He fixed everything for me, even took the crabmeat out of the shell. Delicious, couldn't have had a better dinner anywhere!
Oh that sounds absolutely wonderful! What a treat (and what a very nice husband!). Mine is out now trying to buy sushi. We were going to make steak and seafood salads at home but he got too overwhelmed with all the kids fussing about choices so I sent him out to find food.
What do you do for mother's Day and who does the cooking?
We used to go out for brunch but learned about 20 years ago, the restaurants are over crowded, the food isn't all that good and prices are jacked up, so now we enjoy a brunch or dinner at home. Well, not always at home, this year we are going to our daughters. She first said the guys could do the cooking, then she said she was doing a southwestern meal> My suggestion to her, let the guys throw burgers on the grill and let us gals relax. I think she is going to do just that. I have told spoiled brat he will have to do an appetizer, who do you think will actually fix it?
