I went with pumpkin but I like them both very much, being from NY I never even knew they made such delicious things such as sweet potato pie and pecan pie..

Of the two, I much rather the pumpkin pie, its so creamy and smooth and tastes so good coming out of the fridge. I also like sweet potatoes on the side, but not the pie. Other pies I like are cheesecake, pecan pie (YUM!), and that's pretty much it for my favorites.

Well, I never was much of a pie person (I'm a cake lover). But I do love the classic Pumpkin Pie, of course.

I love pumpkin pie and for the life of me, I don't know why I only eat at for TDay! I am, however, very partial to MY pumpkin pie. No frozen or bakery pie can compare. It is just the Libby's recipe with a little extra of all the spices (think rounded vs level measuring spoon). And it must be cold and naked (no whipped cream for me!)

I like pumpkin okay, but I LOVE sweet potato. We make them dark in my family (lots of nutmet and cinnamon).

no preference.

For me, they're pretty much interchangeable and taste alike.

I'll take pumpkin over sweet potato, but I love, love, love pie, any pie (even mincemeat and raisin) I used to request birthday pie instead of birthday cake.

Both are absolutely wondrous. I'd be hard pressed to choose. I'd like a slice of each, please. And good, strong coffee.

Sweet potato pie gives me heartburn, dunno why, since both pies have pretty much the same ingredients.

I also prefer the texture of pumpkin pie to sweet potato pie.
