Pun intended but maybe that is why it is "Wonder Bread"? I got to thinking one day about this stuff. Ya know corn is grass. Sugar cane is grass. All of these sweeteners are made from grass. I've stopped worrying about it.

But did they just recently add HFC to their bread? or has it always been labeled in the ingredients?

Sorry but I honestly don't know. By law it had to be on the label when they started but when I have no clue. I have not bought Wonder bread in a long time.

I noticed it was in my sunflower seeds the other day. Ridiculous.

I could go to the store (or the Caribbean) and pick up a stalk of sugar cane. can't really do that w/ HFCS. they may start out somewhat the same, but don't think that HFCS is as natural as sugar cane. I personally try not to buy anything w/ HFCS in it; I simply don't trust it

I find spending a bit more than $1 for bread gives me more options in terms of bread w/o HFCS. the Archer Farms brand sold at Target has HFCS-free bread for less than $2.50. I never buy bread for under $2 anymore (unless it's on sale of course) since most of those breads have crap in them.

You don't need sugar in your bread. One advice: don't eat that.

Its everywhere! I have a hard time finding canned kidney beans or tomatoes that don't have sugar or HCFS added.
