It is in the same aisle with the bottled barbeque sauce, mustard and so on. It is a small bottle about 7" high. It is called Liquid Smoke and is very potent...just use a little bit.

Edit: just noticed you are in Australia...not sure if it is the same there.

Liquid Smoke is an additive that you can buy in the grocery store. It is usually in the spice aisle. What is actually is, I don't know but what it does is add smoke flavor to recipes. I went and grabbed a bottle from my kitchen-it contains: water, natural mesquite flavor, vinegar, molasses and caramel color. Simply put, it makes the food you put it on taste like it was cooked on the grill/barbeque.

Don't use too much. It can overpower the food

I've used it on salmon filets and then slow cooked them in a toaster oven. A little dab will do.

Smurfs, I add a little to homemade BBQ (barbecue) Barbie Sauces sometimes. I prefer to add my own smoke via smoker or pit, anything that smokes. If its for some use as an ingredient then you'll need the Liquid Smoke I guess!!
