Just keep some bottles or jars in your car. You've seen the movie 'Dumb and Dumber' right?

Yes, you are so right; I forgot about diabetics....sorry!! I'm glad though that you are aware of the dangers of Splenda.

I use fructose, but of course you cannot.

The artificial sweeteners in them sometimes give me a headache. (not splenda though, but around here you can't buy diet drinks with splenda in cans, only 2 liters size which is a bummer.)

I try to drink non-carbonated drinks, ice tea and lemonade.

Anyone else have this problem?

My main drink is water, but anytime I have a soft drink, it's always diet, either coke or seven up. My mothers drinks about 6 Dr Pepper a day and they are leaded

I can't stand the aftertaste of diet drinks. Yuck! I drink soda, but more often I'm drinking Arizona green tea. I'm trying not to order soda when I go out to eat, because they're so expensive - though not when compared to alcoholic beverages!

I drank diet coke for years, but not anymore. Now if I have a diet drink, it's Crystal Lite iced tea - plain or peach. It's caffeine free. Otherwise it's water for me.

Diet sodas, sugar free snacks, and sugar free gum, all have aspartame. A controversial chemical found in many foods. That many diet sodas in a day will definetly have some major backlashes. Beware!

Not ALL diet drinks have aspartame. There are plenty made with Splenda. And remember, diet drinks are a boon to diabetics. Liz

Yes, and Splenda is very chemically processed as well. I am a nursing student, and I have had a lot of diabetic patients, and given a lot of insulin shots. Life can still go on without diet sodas. There are a ton other options. The bottom line is that people don't want to change their lifestlye. They want to keep with old habits, and use medication to band aid it.
