I have a bag like these that I put one of those gel ice packs in. It kept my food cold for me during 12 hour shifts (of course I didn't wait until 12 hours to eat ). Also all of my food did not have to be kept cold. Mine is like the $7.99 green one.

Shaved chicken sandwiches with mayo, lettuce and tomato (tomatos were $3.59 a pound) and Cookie Dough ice cream for desert.

Meat loaf, mashed potatoes,gravy, honey carrots, bread sticks and apple pie.
Apple pie is too much work for me, so it is a Mrs. Smith's frozen one with all of that crumbley stuff on top.

AC guy came and fixed the AC, just needed freon, so I have had the oven on for a couple of hours today.

Cashing in some leftovers, I put canned corn and cooked rice in a saucepan, stirred in some green olives from the jar, ground on some black pepper and a dash of turmeric. Made a nice side for salmon patties.
