Heylo everybody.

Plan to cook & garden today. Meal will be a big one served in the afternoon & I have a lot of beer in the fridge. My girlfriend is coming over to help me plant, apparently she's quite good at wielding a pitchfork...

I am cooking a feast to thank her for her help, she loves to eat but isn't much of a cook. She and DH are both big meat lovers so I've come up with this non-matching menu. We are having:

* Grilled Chicken kebabs w/ peanut sauce (like satay but in cubes)
* spicy cucumber salad
(like Spicy Cucumber Salad, Thai-American style / ImportFood.com recipe )
* oven roasted corned beef w/ mustard & rye bread if desired
* baked beans (canned)
* cole slaw (homemade)
* honeydew slices
* frosted brownie (store bought)

Happy Sunday!

We're grilling tonight. A few nights ago we were supposed to have steaks- weather was gorgeous. My partner put the steaks on the picnic table and our dog dragged them off when he turned his back. Ugh.

So tonight we're trying steaks again, baked potatoes and a vegetable.

We have been so busy this weekend with a ton of yard work. Friday night I picked up some Burger King. Then yesterday we went to a plantation and garden here in Charleston so on our way home from there we stopped at O'Charley's. So tonight I finally cooked. I made fried chicken, pasta salad, green beans and a strawberry poke cake.

No supper for me yet! I've been baking pies all afternoon. Having a pie auction at work tomorrow to raise money for American Cancer Society's Relay For Life! I baked four pies: blueberry, two pecan, and peanut butter! Now the house smells soooo good, but I'm starving.

Dinner for me? A spinach salad. *chuckle*
