The hole in the wall that delivers to my house makes a shrimp dish that is my absolute fave - it is battered and fried, and topped with this rich sauce. I have no idea what the sauce is, but it is amazing. It is like mayo that tingles - hard to describe. I wish I knew how they made it because I'd be whipping up a batch of that myself every now and then!

My last Chinese takeaway, 2 days ago, was salted fish friend rice with chinese sausage from this place in Concord, NH

I used to eat this all the time when I lived in Adelaide (Australia)

The place in Concord, NH also has good dim sum (yum cha):
shu mai (steamed pork and shrimp dumplings)
ha gao (steamed shrimp dumpling)
char siu bao (steamed buns filled with barbeque pork)
fried taro turnover

love taro turnovers

Hot and Sour soup. Just a huge container. I can never make it as good at home.

If I don't know the restaurant I normally will pick up fried rice and either a chicken dish or sweet and sour pork, I think these are standard and usually pretty good. I am not into take out very often, but when the weather is really hot or we have been all day it is fun to just swing by and get a couple of take outs.

Me: Moo shoo, kung pao chicken, other members of my family enjoy beef chop suey and egg fu yung.
Once in a while we go to the chinatown downtown and get dim sum though.
