Pretty basic question which I think will have opinions across the board. For those of you that don't consider seafood to be meat, what category would amphibians (frog legs etc) fall into, meat or seafood?

Or reptiles...AKA snake....Good question, but I would consider the like to be meat of some type, not a plant

Seriously?
Given that most people don't, I'm pretty sure, eat frog legs (or snake, alligator, etc.) on a regular basis, this is really a non-issue.
Yes. They are meat the same as chicken. I am a piscado vegetarian myself. My family and I do eat fish and other sea food. Frogs are not seafood. They breathe air. By the same token, whales and dolphins are NOT seafood.

My father isn't a vegetarian--he eats poultry and fish. He doesn't eat mammals. Frog legs, alligator tail, seafood, those things are OK.
For someone that is a moderator, I would expect more from you than to brush off a question.
Sorry you feel that way, but I'm entitled to my opinion just as you are yours. And I think this is a non-issue.
But, to answer your question -- of course amphibians are meat, as are snakes and other reptiles. Insects and arachnids, too, in case that was your next question.

just out of curiosity, what is your rationale for being a pescatarian? is it about health, animal rights, or something else? i'm just wondering what philosophy makes it ok to eat animals that breathe underwater and not ones that breathe air. i'm not trying to be judgmental here, i'm just interested in your logic.

I became a pescatarian when I was younger to lose weight and i did, but since the weight loss I have felt much better without products that breathe air. It is not religous or anything like that. Just a comfort level.
