An Anjou pear. I like my fruit firm but this was quite toothsome.

Bean burrito from TB.

Bought 10 more to freeze...they are great after defrost, and inexpensive.

I'm on a diet, so my treat this afternoon after lunch was one small square of a Score candy bar YUM!

Tonight for a sweet treat (if you want to call it that) was a small container of Cherry Greek Yogurt and now just before bedtime, I'm sipping an inch of nice dry Merlot.

Bartlett pears are my favorite too. Oh, so juicy and tasty!...but when they aren't in season, I find them harder than apples and never buy them.

Pears were on sale: Anjou and Bartlet. It has been awhile since I bought pears but thought I would be adventurous with the Anjou (which I believe I haven't had before). What I should have done was buy 1 of each to compare.

By the time produce reaches us, it may not be quite at the peak of ripeness. I wonder if that was the case. I mean this pear didn't have any give.

After dinner now, snacking on roasted acorn squash seeds prepared from tonight's acorn squash dinner.

I love using every part of a food resource.
