Fake trail mix. Why fake you ask? Because of the carbs. This has fewer and it pretty good for trail mix lovers who are restricting their carbs.
Mix the following in small quantities:
Roasted sunflower seeds 1T or to taste
roasted pumpkin seeds 1T or to taste
Oscar Mayer bacon bits 1/2 T or to taste
A very few tiny chocolate chips, or a dried apricot diced fine
mix together for a snack. There are calories in this, and fat and probably salt, depending on your your seeds. But there are comparatively few carbs, when the fiber is subtracted. I am not saying this is healthy, but if you need a snack this will do the trick.
I admit that I adore trail mix. But finding trail mix that isn't full of sugar and other carbs is a challenge. So I invented this snack mix.
