Cold Stone Creamery
This place is absolutely addictive. There are two close by in my area with one of those two being only 3-4 minutes away.
My favorite order is the Cake Batter ice cream with yellow cake mix in...in the Love It size. Extremely tasty. I also enjoy the Cake 'n Shake shake. It uses the same Cake Batter ice cream flavor and a yellow cake inclusion.
I noticed recently that there's a seasonal pumpkin ice cream flavor available. It looks good but I have yet to try it. Not sure what kind of mix in would be good with this. I am thinking perhaps the same yellow cake mix in or white chocolate chips.
What is your favorite thing to order at CSC?
Do you also enjoy the cakes? I've never been a big fan of ice cream cakes overall, however I am a rabid fan of most desserts with anything involving buttercream icing. I usually like a bit more icing than cake and even look forward to large icing flowers or decorative dollops atop of cakes that give a bit more icing.
That stuff is insanely addictive to me but I notice most ice cream cakes use whipped icing that is either ganache or whipped cream based at CSC. It's ok but not what I'd rave about the most.

i would have to disagree and say cold stone is the most overrated ice cream place. i would rather have a friendlys peanut butter cup sundae any day of the week over any of the slop from cold stone. plus it is over priced

I agree that Cold Stone is over rated and over priced. I'll take Baskin-Robbins over CS any day

I thought the question was asking what you liked to order at CSC, not whether or not you think it is best -_-
Personally, I am all about the mint or sweet cream mixed with shredded coconut with a waffle bowl in like it. Haven't had the shakes though, will have to try that one day.

I just recently discovered Cold Stone Creamery. I love the raspberry sorbet mixed with berries.

Really people, all the person asked is what you would eat if you happen to frequent this establishment. I don't think cold stone can even be compared to DQ, or Baskin Robbins or whatever.
Anyway, I like any of the tropical ones. My husband likes the Cocoa Banana Cabana. They have awesome Banana Splits too, but we share that because it is HUGE!

We have both Cold Stone and Marble Slab and I like them but I also LOVE Baskin Robbins as well.
While I like Dairey Queen as well FOR ME, their ice cream doesn't live up to the same quality.

While we were on vacation in Cancun years ago, we met a nice family from Washington state. They simply loved CSC. I couldn't wait for CSC to come to our area. Then, when I finally found a CSC I was disappointed. Just overpriced buttery ice cream. I have never been back since. This is the first ice cream I've ever said "no" to (probably a good thing for me). Do you think it's an acquired taste...like starbucks? Or, perhaps I ordered an odd combinaton?

I think maybe it's just the "something different" factor?? I also like starbucks, but there's a privately owned place I like better. And I also like Barnies, which is a Florida company though so not all over. Starbucks espresso tend to be a little bitter for me sometimes.

Nothing will ever top the place of my childhood called Kimballs, it was a diary and they also made their own ice cream...the traffic was so heavy they had to hire traffic cops to help control it, it was near Boxborough Mass, I would have to check a map to remember exactly...
The yanks know how to make ice cream. We used to drive almost an hour to get to that place...it was THAT good.
