Mine is so tame seeing other foods listed, but I'd never buy some of that other stuff....ever.
I don't like canned mushrooms, don't even like cooked mushrooms, but fresh sliced white
mushrooms on a salad, yummy.
(Now if I can just forget what I read and saw before I posted this..)

Just for weirdness, though, there is canned whole chicken:

ok, I haven't checked all the remarks and I probably have posted before but I do go along with the canned chicken part, not the kraut part. I don't think I have ever tasted fresh kraut, but I love caned. of course anything is better fresh, sometime though, we have no choice and how can one have a kraut dog without kraut: that is what I mean by "no choice" I do not like most canned veggies, at the top of my list would be spinach.. Canned does not cut it for me and I got some kind of canned crab paste from the Asian market. I opened it, smelled and fed it to the garbage disposal. I could swear I heard the disposal say "OMG, this is awful" !!

It is for real!

That can kinda looks like it's giving birth, doesn't it? LOL

I can my own chicken at home, and while it's not the most attractive jar in my home-canned pantry, it still doesn't look as bizarre as a whole chicken sliding out of a can ...

The birth analogy is quite a good one, I started to feel quite queasy !! I can't say it looks very appetising but I suppose I would try it at least once !

They used canned whole chicken as an ingredient on Food Network Chopped once and none of the chefs ever heard of it before, but they did do something decent with it.

It just seems so wrong. I do however love the beautiful picture on the can of the golden roasted stuffed chicken versus the reality of what is lying in wait inside.

Most all canned vegetables, horrible and mushy. I just bought a can of nibblets though, reminded me of my childhood. We used to take nibblets camping and thread them on the hook to catch fish.
How well did that work? I love to fish.
