SALMON...SOCKEYE...MAKES GREAT SALMON PATTIES....

OH YES..THE CANNED BEEF FROM BRAZIL makes great burritos..

Last note...go to a Asia Food Market and just spend some time looking at all the canned foods..

After reading and contributing to the other thread about canned food I will eat fresh food from now on. Canned food is gross and unhealthy.

When my mom would bring home one of these, I would be happy as a clam - I'd spread it on some soft bread or a bun and could easily polish off the whole can (ok, so the whole can is only about 4 oz.). I haven't had any since I was a teenager - I don't think I have seen it in the stores recently either now that I really think about it.

Tuna fish, ravioli, chicken soups (with stars, alphabet, noodles etc.), tomato soup and black olives.

beans and fish (tuna, sardines, anchovies, salmon) are about all I can stand out of a can.

Whoever repped me for my earlier post - thanks, and the answer is:

Different strokes for different folks.

To add to the thread - sweetened condensed milk, used in rice pudding with a can of fruit cocktail, a handful of raisins and toasted slivered almonds tossed in for good measure.
