Oh dear God, pizza talk in the morning!

Thin, crispy crust.

My favorite is at The Silo, on Rockland Rd, in Lake Bluff, IL.

The Italian sausage sits in little pools of oil.

I'll be daydreaming of it all morning now....

I forgot my toppings. Probably any and every vegetable topping. Black and green olives, onions, any kind of peppers, mushrooms, pork sausage, beef, most any kind of cheese, and bacon.

Any. I love thin and crispy medium thickness and chewy, pan-style puffy, and do crave crazy Chicago deep dish from time to time, but I definitely do consider deep dish to be more a pizza casserole than a pizza.

I do love me a good thin crust (like a margherita pizza), but if I want pizza, I want to be full by the time I'm done plowing through it. Thick crust with bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, sausage, cheese, etc. Om nom nom.

Real Chicago style pizza is the way to go. Thin crust to me is like an edible napkin.

This is a false dichotomy.

Both are good.
