I think we have roo jerky but I've not heard of roo bacon.

You should get right on that satxy. You might make a mint!

I'd rather have the lean meaty back bacon in a sandwich or a cooked breakfast, but streaky bacon is essential for cooking those yummy things which need lots of fatty salty smoky flavour....for example.... Devils on Horseback!!!

I buy it like this generally and then grill it. AND when I say grill it I mean put it under the broiler.

Wow!! Guess you all are right ours is stripey. Yours looks like a pork chop (center cut) I think. Much thinner of course ...I'm sure! Not sure how the Canadian's bacon is cut or where from. Lean though.....yours too!! Ours is not so lean but in the US we have peep portals to see how lean a Package is!! Yep little windows in the packaging we can look at the bacon thru. We are looking for the leanest package we can find!! Hi Moonie!! If it squeals it's pig!!

Well to be honest MOST of the bacon I had in the US was Turkey Bacon which I'm still mystified by.

AND because of the bacon being in strips in the US and not much meat when I went for a breakfast sanger for the first time ever I switched to sausage, egg and cheese simply because there's not a lot of bacon in American bacon. There are some things it tastes great in and I guess I'm gonna have to get used to it but ours is much more meaty.

Hi satxy! AND if it squeals like a pig, I'd suggest it aint dead yet!

Center cut bacon is the leanest you'll find of American bacon, try that. I too, cannot fathom anyone not liking our yummy salty bacon.

UK bacon is different from Canadian bacon btw, it has the round part and a strip. Also Canadian bacon is trimmed of all fat, UK has a little iirc.
