Rubio's is a fast casual, similar to Chipotle, Qdoba, and Moe's. It doesn't really take a long time to walk in and get a to go order.

Oh that looks gross!
I'm not a huge taco bell fan as it is, but I hate shrimp.

It's times like these when I'm glad I live right on the ocean

I can get REAL pacific shrimp tacos for less than what Taco Bell is charging, plus they're made with local ingredients

I do agree with the other sentiments in this thread though....taco bell and shrimp shouldn't mix.

What say ye? What's your verdict?

I'm quite aware what Rubio's is and how good it is. But perhaps you work and live in a less densely populated area than I do.

Default I had one yesterday

OK, so this is the scoop:

On our way to Costco yesterday, we stopped in at Taco Bell. The shrimp tacos were $2.79 each. Had they really had "succulent" shrimps in them, it would have been worth it, but alas... they were teeny-tiny, living up to their name "shrimp."

Maybe it was because I poured a whole packet of "Fire" hot sauce on it, but I did find it somewhat tasty. But, really, the "innards" of the taco were scant: a bit of lettuce, a bit of salsa, the "shrimps," all covered in a sauce that tasted like mayo, but was advertised as a ranch/avocado sauce.

If it was $1, it would have been OK. As a light snack, it's OK. But, otherwise... I should have passed on this.

I give it a quarter of a thumb up.

2.79$ is a little too much for something like that maybe its worth.50$ to 1.00 but not anything more. The shrimp are probably vacuum dried and then moisten sightly.
