I usually tip a minimum of a dollar. But if only getting a drink I might leave the coin change as the tip.

Yes we tip at Sonic or A&W.

The only drive - in we have in the area is the Sonic. I don't go there often and it's usually for ice cream or a special drink. I always give them a tip. Never have I had a rude employee or incorrect order and that's rare anywhere. The employees are friendly and always smiling. That's a good thing to see!
