Kinda new here. did a crawfish boil w/the kids and their friends. Fresh live crawfish. It was fantastic! We had a great time.

Ya gotta do one of these boils w/live fresh crawfish. One of, if not THE, best meals I've ever had.

Default Suck the Head 'n' Pinch the Tail ;>)

Mudbugs are fantastic. Here in the Central Valley of California we have a crawdad festival every year in the town of Isleton on the Sacramento River on fathers day weekend. Cant get enough of them little critters.

Oh and dont forget the Andouille sausage and Beer.

Oh heck yeah. Everytime I'm in the South I gorge myself on those little guys (if they're in season). Had a friend here that would order sacks of live ones from Louisiana and have a backyard boil every year in February- it's not often you see a bunch of Southern Californians standing around outside on a rainy day and *enjoying* it!

You Nancy!!! They are good, if not I'll pay ya back, not joke'n either. If you like lobster, shrimp, or crab, this is the sssshhhhhhtufff.

Honestly, the next best "seafood" I've had was calamari at St. Pete.

I'd pass up snow crab for these. Just don't get the pre cooked/frozen crap. Get fresh/live. Expensive, I know, but well worth it.

Sure wish you could have been there. I would have MADE you like them!

I'll back'em up for you. I'll talk to the ladies, if your interested, & I'll back them also. I know they will.

I don't want to push.....oh ok, I do. Not for everyone, but it's fun.

Later nomad.

OH MAN!!! It is crawfish season . We have a big crawfish boil every year here at the house and everyone tries them and likes them. Like'em spicy. Zataran's is great to boil them in and then I've got some kick'a cajun seasoning we use on them with the red potatoes and corn. YUM!!!! Many a kid has come to know and like them bugs from us fixing them. I get about 3 huge bags of them from a local place live (about 40 lbs easy). DIRT CHEAP!!! I do some shrimp as well for those that don't like to "suck heads".

I need to plan this soon.
