The mayo based sauce is an Alabama thing, particularly Huntsville (Big Bob Gibson). It's called white bbq sauce.

It's kinda common in TN now, too.

Yeah when it was called *white sauce*, as opposed to mayo, I knew it sounded familiar. There is a Big Bob Gibsons close to Charlotte in Monroe. I've never been, but heard it's good. It's only about 15 minutes away from my house, I really should check it out.

I don't care for mayo and you can definitely smell the sauce has a mayo component. But it's pretty good.

Thanks I know the plaza well. Just never looked as traffic is usually heavy as I go by or I thinking about the rib joint along there I have never stopped at either.

YUM,I'd love to have a couple of pork BBQ sandwiches with some slaw spread on them! Baked beans and french fries would be nice also.

best to turn on to Edgewood and take the street behind the Mobil station to get there....less chance of accident

Now I just need an excuse to take my car to the repair shop up a little farther north of Edgewood Levy's place. I can stop and get said sandwich with slaw and eat in the customer waiting room driving them all up the wall. They need to cover the paintings on the wall before I get there just in case I get messy with the slaw......

Out of pure desperation I'm simmering hot dogs in BBQ sauce and made some make shift slaw with Wasabi, Mustard, Cholula sauce, and fresh ground pepper. After a taste I think the Wasabi may have been the missing ingredient.

Stuck the hot dogs to the post so they are black on one side like they are supposed to be. That is what happens when I multitask on CD.
