So the other day I had one of those star bucks cold coffee drinks from the supermarket. A couple of hours later I had a small red bull. 30 minutes later I'm sitting at my computer totally at rest with a heart rate maybe around 57 bpm. Suddenly I feel dizzy and my heart rate goes through the roof. I can feel it beating hard in the vein on the side of my neck. I felt dizzy and numb. I just so happen to have a blood pressure machine. While I was experiencing this my blood pressure was somewhere around 210/120. And my heart rate was around 120 bpm. All this lasted maybe a couple of minutes, but scared the he!! Out of me.

So has anyone else had any bad experiences like this with drinking red bull?

My friend had an episode similar to yours with heart palpitations & sweating. She drank 3 cans though!
I personally don't like the taste. I've recently gotten hooked on this Yerba Mate fruit tea drink. It's naturally caffeinated so it doesn't produce jitters like energy drinks.

I think it happened because you had caffeine overload with the coffee and the redbull together. Pick one or the other but don't do both.

Aren't Energy drinks like lures at the sporting goods stores? They catch people instead of fish? I was given a free sample and after one sip poured it out. My personal opinion was it tasted like kerosene. That said I don't want to give it a chance to mess me up.

I love that show. I'll tell you what Red Bull is cheaper than Viagra when you get it at Costco.
