Ha ha, I live like a mile from that waffle house! Only been there once at like 5am. You see some interesting characters in those places. Some are pretty good, some are really nasty. I went to one in Clearwater/St. Pete Beach and it was the nicest waffle house I have ever seen. It's not in the same league as Cracker Barrell.

I am one of the few people who just don't see what all the hype is about Krispy Kreem donuts (and I live in the home of KK). They are awful and too sugary. I was so mad when Kroger stopped making donuts and only had KK, but they have since gone back to making their own donuts in the past few years and they are so much better. Only problem is if you don't get to the store before like 4pm they toss em all away and they don't always have my favorite ones.

Cracker Barrel is so much better. Waffle House is vile.

The closest Waffle House to Philly I've ever been to was still way out in Lancaster across from the outlets on Route 30. Certainly Cracker Barrel - which I never saw until I came to VA - and IHOP are way better. But if you're looking for a (half?)step up from Mickey D's for breakfast, it's not bad.

Don't really know...when I lived in KY we had one about a quarter mile away from us. I went there once, for coffee and I think eggs and toast. It was meh. I don't recall anyone in Hoptown raving about it or anything...

Well, yes, there are, but, fortunately, not in the immediate area. There's one in Cecil County, MD. When you go down 95, there's a sign for it.
