Well, didn't get Domino's or Taco Bell. DH decided at the last minute he wanted steaks, so I defrosted some filets and made potatoes and onions in the microwave. WE also grilled some Stripling's sausage we got while in S. GA. Yum! Made a sausage cheese dip also.

Still deciding on tonights meal!

Was planning on making a nice eggplant parmigana (even stopped to get a nice fresh eggplant) and I thought a salad with the first of my homegrown tomatoes - BUT .... Came home after 4 days to find my freezer defrosted and dripping!! Sweet God!! Looks like I will be attempting to get this freezer fixed and doing endless cooking of porkchops, stew and every other recipe I can think off to salvage the items that I can. Happy weekend, indeed!

Pan fried salmon patties with a nice pasta salad (green peppers, toms, and onion diced and included), and field peas with bacon.

Grilling some petite bacon-wrapped filets and giant black tiger shrimp. Maybe some grilled potato slices and corn on the cob to go with it.

Came home with a half bushel of fresh peaches...........so tonight we will have some grilled brats with a jicama/jalapeno slaw. dessert will be fresh home made peach ice cream on a peach upside down cake......heat index here is supposed to be over 110, but the peach upside down is worth heating the kitchen......everything else will be cooked outside.
