it cant be worse than Violet candy or gum they had in the "old" days, and i remember about 15 years ago it came back! i couldn't eat them! it tasted like i was eating perfume! at least "berry" flavor is actually something i would eat.

Omg-you're bringing back memories. Not sure if it was the '60's or '70's but I agree it was nasty.

I bought Trident layers to see how it would taste. Haven't had it, yet. I think it goes from strawberry to melon

I love the Trident layers- there's 3 different ones- Strawberry & Citrus, Green Apple & Pineapple and Cantaloupe & Mint.

That's different though, that's just a blend of flavors. It doesn't "change over" from one flavor to another.

I don't know what's wrong with simple flavor sugar gum, but the gum manufacturers seem to think so. Now gum is a toxic blend of different sweeteners, weird flavor mixes and assorted other chemicals.
