Here's a copy cat recipe of it. I haven't tried it yet.

1/2 cup Pineapple juice

1/4 cup Honey

3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

1 1/2 tsp. Ground ginger

1 tsp. Salt

1/2 tsp. garlic Powder

How to Prepare Sweet and sour Polynesian sauce
1. Combine all ingredients and use to brush over ribs, chicken or pork during the last 15 minutes of cooking (makes one cup sauce).
That sounds good. Might have to do some ribs this weekend!! Thanks George.

It's a wanna-be. Not even close.

A higher up (exec) at Chik-Fil-A told me about these spicy chicken sandwiches about a year ago, I was told it was top-secret and to not post about it on internet boards. LOL no lie.

Glad they finally released it! I have tons of coupons for free sandwiches from my friend,I'll have to try one!

I didn't think the McDonald's one was supposed to be like the spicy Chick-fil-A, but are you saying that it's not even like the "regular" Chick-fil-A?

Because if that's what you're saying, I'm going to scratch the McDonald's field trip off of my "fast-food to-do" list (which includes a bacon cheeseburger at Wendy's [as per MAtheBanker's recommendation] and a tuna sandwich at Subway).

It's like a wanna be Original Chik Fil A sandwich. It's not nearly as good, but it's still ok. I like it better than all the chicky sammiches at McDonalds.

The seasonings aren't the same and they don't use peanut oil to fry it in (the gold standard for chicken frying imo). More bun than the Chik Fil a sandwich too which is mostly chicken w/ a little bun.

I'd still try it!

Fine, I'll try it, if you insist.
But I'll always be disappointed that it's not the "real deal" and that we don't have Chick-fil-A here. GRRRRR!!!

It's all the MSG in their chicken, makes you thirsty and addicted to them at the same time.

Here's a review of the Spicy Chicken Sandwich by a local food critic.

Chick-fil-A spicy chicken sandwich tastes like chicken. And spicy. | Omnivore Atlanta

I did the most disgusting, vile thing ever known to man or beast, and my husband even abetted me by driving:

1. We went to Wendy's and I had the Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger with fries. MA -- you were right; it was very good. But it was a very tiny burger.

So...

2. Then we drove half a block down the road, into the McDonald's drive-thru, where I got the Southern Style Chicken Sandwich. I loooooved it. I can't compare to Chick-fil-A because I've never had that but I enjoyed this tremendously.

That's two out of three items on my "fast food to-do list" scratched off in one shot. I feel sick... yet very, very happy.
