I don't think so, for the midmajors that do make BCS games, a win against a BCS school in a BCS game is bigger than beating other mid majors in their own national championship. Its happened twice, it will no doubt happen again. The more this happens the more the BCS can't ignore that mid majors can compete, and a playoff system will come. Coming from Boise, I'd take our Fiesta Bowl win over Oklahoma over a national championship win against someone like TCU, or Utah.
