Now keep in mind one thing: The Texans play the Cowboys in the regular season every four years because of divisional rotation in the scheduling (the next time that happens is in 2010), but you can root for the Texans in the pre-season games and when they don't play your Steelers. All other seasons, they meet in the pre-season (the Texans won their last meeting 18-0). They'll have another pre-season meeting against the Cowboys this fall. And, no, the Texans are a team on the rise, so don't be surprised if the outcome is more close than you think.

Just as long as the Miami Hurricaines still suck, I don't mind.

Well, there's one thing you have to remember with pre-season games...Every coach plays their rookies and 2nd/3rd string players. They don't play their starters. Why would they risk injury to a key player in a pre-season game, ya know what I mean? So, not sure who the Texans had in when they won against the Cowboys 18-0, but I'm sure the Cowboys were not playing their starters. Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to see the Texans open a can of whoop a$$ on the Cowboys And I DO cheer for the Texans when they aren't playing my beloved Steelers We are actually playing both Texas teams this year! Steelers vs Cowboys: Dec 7th, 4 PM and Steelers vs Texans: Sept 7th, 1 PM (1st game of the regular season). I should be living in Austin by the time we play the Cowboys. Anyone want to meet me out to watch the game and have some friendly wagers? I'll be the chick wearing the #43 white Steeler jersey!!

Agreed. The coaches do want to see who can make it and who can't. The established starters just get small time to warm themselves up. Definitely a chance to see what the younger players can do.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Sweed (Longhorns) can do for the Steelers in pre-season. I think he was a great draft pick for us.

Only two games count
the two "super bowls" we play against Dallas each year. We can go 2 -14 but if those two wins are against Dallas, it was a great year....

Haha! I feel the same way about my Packers. If we beat the hated Bears, 2-14 is OK.
