Why did the Eagles and Westbrook wait this long to repair his ankle? Or did he hurt it recently at mini-camp?

Westbrook didn't realize the severity of his ankle injury until recently. I don't think it's a big deal. A guy like him the more time he spends off his feet the better. As long as he's ready by week 1 in Carolina things should be fine. And also keep in mind, we did go 2-1 without him last year, would've been 3-0 if we had a tight end that could block, so contrary to what some analysts believe it's not like we're doomed without him. Plus, McCoy will be a stud. I've already said it and I'll say it again, I think the guy we can't afford to lose to injury is McNabb.

Default Eagles football without B Dawk

Eagles football has always been one of my favorite parts of living around here, but I just can't get as excited about this year's team without B Dawk. The toughness, the way he was a little crazy, the way you could tell he really enjoyed laying a hard hit on someone... the heart he left out on the field every game. That's what made Eagles Football so great all these years.

For other Eagles fans out there, what is your favorite Brian Dawkins memory? And for you Denver fans, you are in for a treat.

My favorite BDawk memory was when he lowered the boom on Ike Hilliard in October 2002. It cost him 50 grand, and Hilliard the rest of the season. It was well worth it. We will miss him greatly in Phila, especially now with Bradley gone as well.

I'll be the first to ask. How is Vick going to have an impact? Morals aside, do you feel he's a valuable backup?
