28 aint to shabby, Moss has earned a contract for a few QBs in this league. Brady is a very good QB, doesnt hold the ball and makes good decisions, good under pressure.

I think we can ALL agree on that, but remember...they had arguably the worst QB corp in the league last year (or at a bare minimum they were in the bottom few). Adding any decent QB is going to be a big upgrade the major point of contention appears when people want to call Favre the MVP or make claims that he is top 3 in the league. (Which is what the Jets fans were saying this time last year.)
The Vikes have a heckuva team but remember they went 10-6 last year and their wins this season are against a group of teams that are about .300 win percentage.

So what? That was last year! This year we are really winning and it's been such a fun and exciting year to watch football. No matter what happens or how far we'll go look at all the excitement there has been this year for the Vikings. But remeber lasy year...but remember when this was going on....etc...who cares....football is a blast to watch and this season has been awesome with Brett and the rest of the crew.

Brady is an outstanding QB but a lot of that can be attributed to his support squad. Same goes for most QB's who win superbowls or have extremely high calibur teams. A lot of really average QB's turn out some great numbers when they are given the tools to succeed.
A few memorable ones come to mind like Mark Rypien with the Redskins when they won the superbowl. He had Ernest Byner, Ricky Sanders, Art Monk a good defense and a good offensive line and plenty of other tools I can't recall. Rypien got the MVP and the Redskins were the most dominant team in the 1991 NFL season. I believe Rypien sucks but look at what he accomplished.
Another notable mention was Kurt Warner when he was with the Rams and they were declared the "Greatest Show on Turf" (LOL) winning a superbowl. Warner had tons of weapons and I believe also won MVP but went on to have some terrible seasons afterwords because he didn't have the supporting cast.
Favre is a decent quarterback who will go down holding the majority of the records but people like him because he enjoys playing the game like a kid. Some people can't stand that. Me personally, I can admire the great quarterbacks like Jim Kelly and Troy Aikmen, but to be honest they're cocky jerks who do it for fame and money. Favre comes off as just enjoying himself and having a good time playing football because, after all, its just a game. Sometimes we forget that sitting infront of the TV on sundays.

I think you have to give Warner a little more credit, he brought two separate teams to the Super Bowl, the second w/o a RB.

He's above average...but take away his weapons and he's terrible...just like many other QB's. I can only think of a few QB's that were good with nobody else on the team...Dan Marino comes to mind. I couldn't tell you any other player on that team that was ever any good but him, and hence, he didn't win a superbowl.

Some people enjoy looking at the past and the changes that have occurred that have produced the current environment.
Others like to look back upon fond memories. Oh wait, you are a Vikings fan you don't have fond memories.
Seriously though, I enjoy the strategy and right now I guarantee you the Vikings management is looking at what they can do before the trade deadline to perhaps add another piece that wins them a superbowl. (A distinct possiblity)
As a Bears, Bulls and Whitesox fan it's been a distinct pleasure to have been around for 8 championships, it feels REALLY good. Trust me on this.

I think a guy like Brady does well wherever he goes, he's a solid QB. However, he is not as great as his three Superbowl rings would leave many to believe. Up until their last SB loss, it was the Giants who revealed what it takes to beat him...pressure. What separates Brady from past greats like Montana, Young, Marino, Elway, and others, is that the great ones can improvise really well in the pocket when the play is broken. They don't get locked into timing patterns and they can perform well under pressure with a quick release and the ability to find the open man and hit him, even on the run. He's getting better at improvising in the pocket, but I think that is due to Welker being such an effective receiver moreso than Brady's ability. Again, he's blessed with a great supporting cast. Give someone like Marino that sort of team and he'd have run out of fingers for all his SB rings.
