in The Bronx, NY, green with a black vinyl roof and cracked grille, it was right in front of me as we pulled off the highway. as my eyes fixated on the back end of the car i also saw a little bit of a Plymouth Satellite Sebring and Buick Century image in the curvature of the trunk and side areas. I mean the Ford was certainly distinctive from the others but from that angle there was a resemblance to the others

what a treat to see this classic!!

there is a green 73 Buick Centurion convertible driving around my area in mint condition. absolute classic too

I'm a Torino fan myself, had a 72 back in the early/mid 90's.

A friends sister had one. She would have me wash it for her. I was 15 at the time and would drive it from her apartment to my parents home to wash it. It was only a couple miles between homes. That was one fun car to drive.

The rear end of a 72 Torino reminds me of the rear end of a 73-74 Road Runner.

Not exactly a Torino, but I still own and drive a 74 Mercury Montego MX Brougham 2dr my folks bought brand new. Got a Marti report on it the other day.

Funny how yesterday's junk is today's "treat". Working in a junkyard back in the late 70's/early 80's when these (both two and four door models) were rolling in like fleas on a feral cat we couldn't get them crushed fast enough to make room in the yard for the next dozen to come in. Kind of like Taurus/Sable models from the 90's are today, mid-level cars that sold extremely well but held no special significance. But then again....the last time I saw one moving under it's own power was in "Gran Torino".
