Wife loves it. Although she says Blue Link sometimes acts up....she claims the car is as nice a ride as her previous A4. I don't know about all that...but she is sincere in her accolades for hyundia. She walked away from some pretty nice cars (leases) to purchase a Hyundai.

Me too. I didn't get to test it at all. Hyundai was completely out of them. They had no clue when they'd be in. (Loser dealer) It didn't get raves from the workers.

We had to await a dealer trade...there was only 3 or 4 in our portion of Illinois. Was only able to get a tiny bit off sticker.

I had a 2003 Hyundai Elantra GT. It was a nice car with tons of bells and whistles. Leather interior, automatic lights, good handling..... I am not surprised the veloster is a nice ride.

I think the touch screens are a little broken in all of the new cars. But software can always be improved.

I decided I wanted 4 doors though. I have passengers fairly regularly. At least on 50% of my drives. I am the DD in my circle of friends, because I have 2 that do not have licenses. :P

I traded for mine too. Looks like Ford is having problems keeping the high level trim stocked. I think it is hard to guage how many people will spec out a small car.

Pesky hyundai....my 2003 car was pretty highly spec-ed so I couldn't go downgrade to more basic levels of options.

I know! It was a HUGE sacrifice -- those 2 MPGs.

Smart move on the four doors...this thing only has three...and to get into the hard side is difficult as it only seats four and you have to slide over a middle console in the back.

I voted for the ford, but it was her choice. Daughter has an elantra, as does the sister outlaw...I never stood a chance.

Haha! I was pretty anti-american cars. But I have friends/family who like their recent vintage fords. My grandad was a Ford guy, but after some horrible Fords in the 80s, my parents when mostly Japanese and never went back. It is very strange to me to:
a. Drive a ford
b. Find a stylish Ford compact
c. See so many Fords with good gas mileage

This is pretty much extreme cognitive dissonance for me. Fords are supposed to be ugly gas guzzlers!

Is the 2012 Focus a major upgrade over the 2011 model?

My wife's 2010 Ford Taurus has been in the shop for four days now and she has been tooling around in a 2011 Ford Focus. The vehicle is no great shakes and a lot louder than my Corolla.

Thanks for the review I have been looking into getting a 2012...I have a 2007 sedan currently. I wasn't a big fan of the look of the 2008 - 2011's. I feel the 2012 is an improvement style wise. In regards to the gas mileage very few people will hit 40mpg on the highway...upper 30's will be the best most people get.
