for us city dwellers we dont really need the full size F150. why? the only heavy items we will put on are the bulky paper towels we buy from costco.

and of course for the peace of mind its 4x4 capability provides when we go to Big Bear during winter

Is the 2.3 liter turbo in the new Ranger the same open deck block design as in the Focus RS? I’ve heard this engine has head gasket problems due to design flaws.

i read somewhere that the turbo engine was a collaboration between Mazda and Ford

maybe it was better if they just used the 2.5 turbo Mazda uses in its CX 9

Not a design flaw...some incorrect gaskets got installed on the RS engine.

Ranger just got a little cooler to me...21/26 mpg with a gas engine...not bad.

My local Ford dealer had two of these fresh off the truck last week. Pretty nice, but the back seat area is too small.

I typically get that, well 22-25 on my 2014 F150. The first in PA in the hills, the second on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
