That doesn't look like his car, it looks like a standard sedan The grille is that of a 1964 model, the actual limo was a 1961 that was refitted with a 1963 grille, and it was longer (the rear and front doors don't meet).

I always thought it's called 'suicide doors' because with the way they open they'd block view of oncoming traffic. Though I have to say I have never used such doors, so I don't know how true that would be and how big a risk it really represents.
