Yeah, my mother told me (growing up on a farm in the 50's) you used the truck for fetching grain and hay for the animals and the car was for going to church on Sunday and maybe running errands. But yeah you're right, the public wants the best of both worlds: a Cadillac in a truck.

Well I knew a boilermaker superintendant who wouldn't drive a company truck and hauled tools around in the trunk of his Caddy---come-alongs, chain-falls, harley grinders, mill-hogs, beaters, bars, burning outfits and such.
